I often find the coming storm to be soothing, not disturbing. A strong force of nature passing by. So I like this composition for its peaceful quality, actually. Tom
I agree. It was a crazy light situation where a low very bright cloud bank scudded in in under a minute or two with a very dark backdrop following in the next few minutes. In Nantucket town where the streets are cobbled with the ballast of whaling ships. What started as mildly overcast was transformed into quite dramatic. Reading Nathaniel Philbrick’s *In The Heart of the Sea* and it’s hard not to think of the ominous portent the island Quakers would have read into a rapidly shifting sky such as this. About 40 minutes later the sky opened up, but it didn’t last too long.
